Sunday pamper selfcare is a great routine to start
Sundays were made for enjoying a pamper and some selfcare. A fry-up breakfast (cures the Saturday night hangover). A Sunday roast lunch (because its pretty much the law). Sunday night snacks and a film (preferably an iconic 80s film with an epic soundtrack, some serious fashion fails and cheesy one-liners).
So between the Sunday lunch and the Sunday night snacks, I love to fit in some Sunday pamper time. Sometimes the week goes by in a flash so we don’t get time for self-care. I do think taking an hour out once a week to just indulge yourself with some gorgeous beauty products and bit of tranquility is great habit to start. It is the perfect end to a week. It is also the ideal way to refresh yourself for the week ahead.
Benefits of selfcare
There is that old saying “You can’t pour from an empty cup”. A Sunday pamper is so much more than the vanity of grooming. There are many things we can do during the week to take care of our personal well-being. From 10 minutes of mindfulness, taking exercise, eating a balanced diet, putting on clean pyjamas or changing the bed sheets.
Or it could even be treating yourself to a large bar of chocolate if you have have been eating well, picking up a book and enjoying a chapter before going to bed or having a splurge online. Buying those shoes you have had your eye on for weeks! Small pleasures can really lift our mood and make us feel good if we feel we need to reward ourselves after a bad day or bad week. If you haven’t had chance to do any of those things, a Sunday pamper is almost certainly a necessary treat.
