I have been using the Oils of Life facial oil recently from The Body Shop and I absolutely love it! It has become my new bed time skin treat.
The Oils of Life facial oil is made up of 99% natural ingredients and is one of The Body Shop’s best selling products. The ingredients are a strong blend of black cumin seed oil, camellia seed oil and rosehip seed oil – and it smells delicious!
Personally I think this oil is too heavy for day wear… I have normal type skin so maybe those with dry skin would be ok wearing this underneath makeup but for me I prefer to soak my face in this after my evening cleanse before bed. I have been using this for several weeks now and I can see and feel a difference in my skin. It feels more hydrated and radiant.
What are the benefits of skin oils?
There are lots of different skin oils on the market but some provide different benefits to others. Some facial oils contain anti oxidants which help with the prevention of skin aging. Bonus! Oils penetrate deeper in to the skin than normal over the counter moisturisers which makes them perfect for those with dry skin or for those who just want some intense moisture if skin is dry/flaky due to environmental factors (heating, air conditioning, post holiday). Some oils can reduce enlarged pores and the Oils of Life facial oil contains camellia seed oil which is a property known for pore reduction.
