Brow Envy – How to get the perfect brows
Eyebrows are sisters, not twins. We all have one eyebrow that sits or grows better than the other. That’s just the ‘brow law’. Some brow hair grow upwards, some grow downwards and sometimes your both brows will grow in different directions. Brow hair can be fluffy and course while others can be sparse and feel like a pointless addition to the face. I always try lots of different brow products in my capacity of Beauty Editor. I am lucky to road test lots of different beauty products including brow cosmetics and I always tend to gravitate towards Benefit Cosmetics for being brow leaders in the product marketplace.
Achieve fuss-free natural brows
Personally I am a natural brow fan all the way. Too much in the way of colour or strong structure can pull the focus to the brows for all of the wrong reasons. That said, a natural brow can still be a statement brow.
A neat, well groomed brow can be as transformational as a face lift. Arch placement is so important and doesn’t always naturally sit in the right place so learning how to create the best shape to flatter your face is really helpful. I always recommend avoiding going too dark and too thick. Mimicking hair strokes with a pencil (or powder and angle brush) is much better than colouring in a brow shape. You will get a much more natural look and your natural brows will be the envy of everyone.
I love using the Brow-zings Pro Palette by Benefit Cosmetics.
This handy slimline palette is the answer to your prayers if you just cant live without “doing your brows”. It combines highly pigmented powders, wax to tame the bushy ones and the tools you need to create your killer shape. The little mirror on the palette lid also means you can touch up on the run.
Everything you need to know about my favourite brow palette by Benefit Cosmetics
If your brows are in need of some TLC then you can read all about this super cool product in the beauty section of British Bride here.
I also offer a more permanent solution to using makeup on brows. Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup solution by creating natural hair strokes. It is very popular with those who have little brow hair or need further definition in the shape. If you would like more information on this then get in touch!
