With the next issue British Bride magazine hitting the shelves imminently I wanted to share some of my favourite bits from the last issue as we were incredibly proud of it. From the luxury bridal gowns, the amazing floral displays, the fabulous cakes and patisserie.. and my very own beauty section. I was obviously delighted to also create and do the makeup look on our front cover, inside editorial spread and runway show report in the magazine.

On the front cover, model Lisa Amnegard wears a Natalya James Bridal gown, stunning accessories by James Clarke (Editor-in-Chief), makeup by me, hair by Caroline McShane from Unveil Hair and flowers by The Flower Story. We shot at the stunning luxury venue of Chicheley Hall, Buckinghamshire.

In regards to the makeup, I really wanted to give the model a luxurious look…using golds and bronze on the eyes using Charlotte Tilbury “Golden Goddess” eyeshadow palette, a winged eyeliner, some false lashes for some extra volume and a high gloss lip.
The cakes and patisserie were made by our very own talented Managing Editor, Lindsay Pemberton, who creates the most delicious designs for the discerning bride.

I love how beautiful the full-length veil looks…such a stunning classic look with a timeless feel. This full bridal style would never go out of fashion.

I absolutely adore this image. The natural light was amazing and having took some sneaky photos on my phone there is very little difference between my iPhone snap and this professional image. The lighting was so beautiful and she looked flawless that its very difficult to tell the difference between our images. That’s the ideal scenario from a Bridal Makeup Artist point of view. Natural light is our friend and flawless makeup is what brides want and photographers love (as little editing is required).

Just before the last issue was published, we held a Wedding Experience Day at Hunton Park, Kings Langley where we showcased some amazing bridal designers during a British Bride runway show, other wedding suppliers and all of the Editors from the magazine were present to greet guests and chat about the magazine and their own industry. I was joined by Etmore Beauty as the Makeup Sponsor for the event – who brought along little gifts for the guests and all looks I created on the models were done so using Etmore products, which are infused with Argan Oil as well as being vegan friendly and cruelty free. Yay!

I wanted to create a similar look on all of the models for the runway show catering for their different skintones but adapting the looks to create a fairly uniform look – basically a soft classic bridal look. Nothing dramatic, just soft and pretty.

Above you’ll see Chenca, getting model Hina dressed for the show. Chenca, owns exquisite bridal boutique Ritva Westenius in London and she showcased her designs on the runway. Not only that, since the last issue Chenca has joined our team as Fashion Editor for British Bride and deservedly so. We are delighted to welcome her to our Award Winning team.
We were joined by the very talented cellist Stephen Donoghue at Hunton Park, who entertained our guests at the event as well as playing while the models walked the runway for the James Clarke collection. Stephen did not escape my makeup chair either! Mens’ grooming is equally as important especially when being photographed.
And here come the girls… the show report which was featured inside of the magazine…
Makeup on the models by me using Etmore Beauty products and hair by Leah Stocker.

And so to our back cover – this image was taken originally as a “Behind the Scenes” image but it was accompanied by the perfect quote by our very own Lindsay Pemberton.

In other exciting news since our last issue, British Bride has signed a global publishing deal which means the magazine will be available in locations such as Milan, Paris, LA, New York, India and Japan. This is very exciting for the team and we have been working hard over the last couple of months to bring you another fabulous glossy issue …
In the next issue, you will be able to read all about my beauty product recommendations (for skincare, hair, makeup and wellness), learn all about the new must-have celebrity luxury Hydra-Facial as carried out at Dr Rashpal Singh Cosmetic clinic as well as my “Get the Look” article showing how you can achieve the 4 most commonly requested bridal looks from classic, boho, vintage to glam.
So, I do hope you will join us for the next issue… coming soon… watch this space
