In all of my 6 years of working in the wedding industry, never have I met a more resilient and positive bride deserving of an amazing wedding day!
Since the start of 2020, brides have faced many challenges. Cancellations, postponements, numerous date changes, illness-related absences from weddings…
Yesterday, I left bride Steph not knowing if or where she was going to get married! Thanks to the ridiculous storm, her venue was unfortunately left without power as well as damage to the property meaning she wasn’t sure whether her reception would go ahead… there were a few other phonecalls on the morning meaning other challenges and her family and groomsmen managed to rally round, keep everything calm and even found a new venue for her to get married (meaning everything needed to be moved from one venue to the other).
Despite the crazy weather, the manic phone calls and the uncertainty of whether she could actually still go ahead, she smiled all morning and shrugged saying “well, what else can you do?” ❤️
I thought about her all day yesterday so I messaged her first thing this morning and she told me she was able to have a service and that her venue was thankfully relocated due to quick thinking and a top bridal party (including the men!).
“Believe it or not, it was still such a lovely day”…
Well Steph, you thoroughly deserved it! Such a pleasure and an inspirational person. That’s how you face adversity! X
